News: Amy Winehouse tops album chart

Lioness: Hidden Treasures, a collection of unreleased songs recorded by Amy Winehouse before her early death this year, has displaced Olly Murs from the top of the UK album chart.
A mix of covers and original work, the album was compiled by close friends of the singer, Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi. Profits from the record’s sales will be given to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, set up to “support charitable activities in both the UK and abroad that provide help, support or care for young people, especially those who are in need by reason of ill health, disability, financial disadvantage or addiction.”
Amy Winehouse was found dead in her flat in July, aged 27. She had died from alcohol poisoning after drinking enough to push her blood alcohol level to over five times the drink-drive limit.
Also in the chart is Michael Bublé’s Christmas (sadly not a concept album), a new entry from X Factor Scouser Rebecca Ferguson, and Rihanna’s sixth album Talk That Talk clinging to the top five for a third week.
